Chapter Text This had been a long time coming, they deserved to know. “Mama Baba I need to tell you guys something and It-it’s really important.” Mulan the only child of the Hua family walked into the room, wearing a red baseball cap over her head. Her hair was neatly tucked into the hat with only a short strand hanging down on her face. “What is it, cherry blossom?” Her father sounded worried, Mulan was never one to make a scene. “You know you can tell us anything” He started to walk towards her, grinning softly. “Do you finally have a boyfriend?” The spunky and sometimes laughable Grandma Fa interrupted, chuckling to herself.

K Bot Darkorbit here. Mulan smirked at the elder woman, “No, grandma.” “Too bad. I wanted to see you get married before I died!” “Mother!” Zhou scolded lightly. “I'm just saying that if she waits any longer, we'll all be in the ground before she finds a husband!” Grandma retorted. Her small stature and bright personality were a stark contrast to the rest of the Hua family. Mulan’s mother spoke up, finally having enough of her husband and mother-in-law’s shenanigans, “Oh, nevermind them Mulan.

What was it you wanted to tell us?” The woman cupped her daughter's face in her hands and tenderly smiled. Suddenly Mulan ripped the red baseball cap off of her head like a bandage covering a small child’s wound. Instead of her long, silky, black hair falling down onto her face and shoulders like her family expected, no hair fell out of the hat. Mulan’s beautiful hair was gone and what was left was a classic tapercut male hairstyle with the top spiked up and some what pushed back. “Your hair!” Mulan’s mother cried out in shock. “It’s gone!” The Hua family’s shock was easy to figure out, all of them had a bewildered look in their collective eyes and their jaws were practically on the floor. Mulan couldn't tell if this was a good reaction or a bad one.
